2018 Terms & Agreements | Twelve Days in Tuscany

Terms & Conditions:

PAYMENTS

The total cost of ‘Twelve days in Tuscany’ is $5,500.00  Pre-registration is required.  Upon Registration we require a deposit of 50% of the total cost of your workshop(s). Payment of this deposit confirms your reservation. Payment can be made in full on the date specified.

  • Registration deposit  $2,750.00 | required to secure Apartment & seat in Workshop
  • Guest deposit(s)         $2,500.00| required at registration
  • Final Payment            $2,750.00 | Due March 3rd, 2018

Participants are not guaranteed a spot in the workshop without a paid deposit. Should you require additional dates before final payment due date, simply ask. We are here to help. Payment of your deposit will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and The Artist Study. Your full balance is due by March 3rd, 2018.

CANCELLATION REFUNDS:

25% Deposit Non-refundable.  Cancellation before February 1st, 2018 receives any amount paid beyond 25% of the deposit as a refund.

Cancellation after February 1st, 2018 and before March 3rd, 2018 receives 50% payment beyond 25% of the deposit, as an in-studio credit towards future classes/workshops.

After March 3rd, 2018 all payments are non-refundable.

The Artist Study understands unexpected turns life may bring and holds to honor the human element in all we do. If an emergency occurs, we reserve the right to reconsider our terms on a circumstantial basis.

PRICES

The set ‘Twelve Days in Tuscany” workshop and retreat includes all fees associated with instruction (instructor fees, model fees) and art materials. It includes one apartment accommodation for each registrant at ‘first come first serve’ selection process along with daily meals: breakfast, lunch and three course dinner. Guests are welcome in the apartment and participate in the meal plan for an additional fee.  Transportation to and from the airport are provided if participants depart and arrive at the agreed dates/times as the group. The Artist Study will have a van for transport of participants for scheduled excursions.

Participants in The Artist Study Workshops who select an apartment agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of Monsignor della Casa in their use of the accommodations. The accommodation is for the use of the person registered for the workshop and guests are welcome. Guests can stay in the same apartment as the workshop registrant for an additional fee, as well as be on the same meal plan.

Pets and Smoking: No pets. Smoking is not allowed in any of the studio facilities or accommodations.

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

The full trip begins June 3rd, 2018 and ends June 16th, 2018.  We recommend taking an overnight flight, leaving Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 to arrive after sleep, arriving before Noon on Monday, June 4th, 2018.   We recommend flying into Florence, FLR.  Please organize with Cynthia of The Artist Study to arrange airport pick-up. If you will be arriving earlier we will provide a place to leave your luggage until your apartment is ready. Check in to Monsignor della Casa-(provided accommodations) for “Twelve Days in Tuscany” by 2pm.  Checkout is at 10:00 am on the day of your departure, June 16th, 2018.

LIABILITY

The owners and employees of The Artist Study shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by the workshop participants. The Artist Study assumes no liability for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience by reason of any defects in the structure of the property, plumbing, electrical systems, gas, water or failures in the supply of utilities for the accomodations. For any loss or damage to the studio or housing facilities or fixtures/fittings caused by workshop participants, the cost of repair or replacement will be paid by the participant to the owners of the accommodation facility.

The safety and welfare of children is the sole responsibility of their parent or guardian.

CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTIONS

We reserve the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient registration. Participants will be notified of cancellations by the registration deadline as outlined in Dates and Deadlines. We reserve the right to substitute another qualified instructor and/or amend any workshop in the event of unforeseen circumstances at any time. A full refund will be made in case of cancellation. We will refund any travel related costs.

Refunds do not apply when your course is cancelled as a result of risk of war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control.

MISADVENTURE

We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage you may suffer during the period of your course due to accident, illness, bodily injury or loss of equipment, of belongings or from any other cause.

INSURANCE

It is solely the responsibility of the workshop participants to obtain travel and health insurance while enrolled in The Artist Study’s “Twelve Days in Tuscany”.

PASSPORTS, VISAS

It is the sole responsibility of The Artist Study participants to obtain the travel documents (passports, visas, etc.) necessary to attend The Artist Study’s “Twelve Days in Tuscany”

 

DATES, DEADLINE AND NOTIFICATIONS

Registration Deadline and Cancellation Notification Deadline – March 3rd, 2018.

Registration for specific workshops may be extended based on availability.

Final Payment Deadline – March 3rd,2018.

Notifications will be made in a timely manner in the event of any necessary changes to any workshop.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

We strive to provide a friendly, creative and safe environment. Our code of conduct is simple: respect your fellow participants and neighbors. The Artist Study reserves the right to remove any disruptive participant from the workshops and/or housing without refund.

TELEPHONES

Participants in The Artist Study workshops are encouraged to have a functioning cell phone while attending the workshop, to ensure proper communication and safety.
